Google wave of the future
Google is promising to change the way we communicate as Realtors with Google Wave. Takes the best of email, Im, social networking and wikipedia and merges it into a new but comfortable medium. Tech savvy agent wants to know how long do you think we will even be using email for our clients? Is it already becoming passe in an era of Facebook, IM, Twitter, etc…?

This could be huge for tech savvy agents. It could be used as a way for the buyers agent and sellers agent and even the loan officer to communicate and exchange documents during that very stressful time between escrow and closing. You could even bring in the appraiser or home inspector to help facilitate a smooth transaction.
Another wave could also be used between an agent and a home buyer to exchange comments, pictures, listings, appointments etc..
Its going to be a very powerful collaboration and communication tool that is much more effective than communicated via email.
I wrote a short review of it on my personal blog at http://chrisolbekson.com/first-thoughts-on-google-wave
Thanks for that! Obviously looking at it as a tool for streamlining communication which will be increasingly important. Thanks for contributing. Look forward to more as we are growing!!
Is it simple to use?
Funny, tough to get an entire company to jump on. Plus i think there are issues with using it for secure or time sensitive issues. I do think it would be a great tool as long as you are able to frame within wave for different applications. Right now the beta is just too “open” for people to grasp the possible application.
I have seen good ideas come and go due to not working right from the beginning or a lack of full understanding of the potentials. This has started the same way. May 2010 and I just found out about it. Learning curve is a negative for potential customers that know how to turn on the computor.
