Although the Google Phone will be great, I really just think they have taken too long to launch. Apple has such a head-start on the on the whole app game it is just near crazy. Plus with Apple launching updated products more quickly these days, I am sure there is still better to come. As for the AT&T 3G coverage, I have never had an issue with my 3GS iPhone in the DFW Metro area, I think the whole "there's a map for that" has to do with those living outside major metropolitan areas. Now with that being said, 3G is still too slow for most of us who are used to fast internet, like I am with Verizon FIOS, don't get me wrong I started back in the 2400bps days, but until there are Wi-Fi hotspots everywhere I don't see 3G, 4G, or even 10G ever satisfying most of us. When it comes to who makes it...well I use a Microsft product everyday, and I sure didn't run out and buy a Windows Mobile phone. But with Google Nexus intending to be an open carrier product, that could really gain some traction and enable it to catch up to iPhone pretty quick.

I just renewed my contract with ATT and got the Iphone 3GS and really like it. That said, I use google for just about everything, contacts, docs, maps, picasa for photos, gmail, calendar, latitude, analytics, etc...I'm a big google fan. I'd consider taking the hit of cancelling my contract with Att if there is enough positive real world feedback from people getting the nexus...curious to hear what others with the phone are experiencing.
