Top Producer 8i Training – New Feature Set

by Tech Savvy Agent on January 28, 2010

in CRM, Training

Training is vital to most Top Producer 8i users, so we decided to do a video on a brand new feature set in your 8i program. Three weeks ago Top Producer completed a free update within their application.  Most users I talked to, saw the update come in, but didn’t take the time to read the information and therefore haven’t taken advantage of the new feature set. Here is a step by step video showing you how to harness the power of some of the new additions in your product. Enjoy!

Awesome stuff!  What a great way to easily incorporate the Market Snapshot opt-in into the conversation with prospects!  Top Producer just keeps getting more thumbs up!

Dude, best thing about this program is that it knows who you haven’t followed up with and provides you with a quick jumping point (i.e. real market data) to discuss with your cold contacts within one system. It also prevents you from having to start your conversation with the old tired dialogued: Do you know anyone looking to buy or sell? Are you still in the market? It certianly doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t ask for business, just means you should have relevant info that specific to the client’s needs. That’s the real mareting tip or my take away from the video.

Thanks so very much for that tip!  Awesome job to you for bringing this to our attention and kudos to Top Producer!  They always said it would be worth the money and the value is definitely there!

Great job of trying to help TP users to use a new feature. Unfortunately I feel about 80% of the users who pay that monthly bill to TP and do not know how to use, will not use or do not like to use  what TP is capable of.Personally I have tried TP time and again and find there are too many screens to maneuver through to to get things done, I prefer to OWN my database not lease it, and lacks the functionality to run seamlessly with Outlook, and my local MLS. If they make it where I can pull in Expired / Cancelled listings based on cross referencing to the tax rolls for a mailing address and owner name I would consider them once again. Until then Active Agent add-on to Outlook allows me to do what I need to do, not dangling carrots of things I could use but never will.

great use of a visual media like you tube to teach a technical and somtimes daunting subject. Can you tell me what program you used to record your screen?  I’ve seen a few, but havent committed yet. Thanks!

Chad,I am not sure what these folks are using but I use Screenium and really like it. Send me a private message if you have any questions. Chris

We use several tools.  One is called Jing by Screencast.  One is called camtasia and also go2webinar allows recording and can be pushed to youtube pretty easily!

What should I do with a TEAM?  I have several accounts, does this report pull the entire database or only those assigned to me?  Also do I also set up my agents accounts this way?Nathan BangsKW Tampa, FLhttp://www.NathanBangs.com/bloghttp://www.Twitter.com/NathanBangs http://www.Facebook.com/TampaRealEstate

I’ve been using this feature since the day it came out and LOVE IT!  I no longer have to “decide” who I need to contact each day as I make my morning calls.  Instead, I click on my “Never Contacted” and have been dwindling that number down.  There is no decision at all… just “Who’s Next?” Plus I have something to talk about!!  After I’m done with the “Never Contacted”s in my database, I will either move on to my “Inactive”s or easily find in the contacts who it has been the longest since I’ve done anything with them by using Advanced Search and selecting “Date Last Updated”.Next I’ll be looking for ways of filtering contacts by: Last time I called, Last time I set an appointment, Last time I mailed, and Last time I e-mailed.  I haven’t found how to search this way yet.  Anyone know if it’s possible?
