Tech Savvy Agent – Geordie Romer – Leavenworth Washington

I am a Washington native, raised in Olympia and currently a resident of Cashmere. I am a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont where I earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science. Prior to real estate I spent nearly a decade in law enforcement as a park ranger in our National Parks.

My goal is to be the best advocate for my clients and to find creative solutions to their problems.

In 2006 my peers named me to the Board of Directors for the North Central Washington Association of REALTORS where I served as the Director for Governmental Affairs for Chelan County. I also have served on the MLS committee and have coordinated the REALTOR food drive in Leavenworth. In 2010, I joined the Board of Directors for the Chelan Douglas Land Trust, one of the most effective non-profit organizations in our area.

I specialize in vacation homes, second homes, luxury homes and condos in the Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee area. This includes Cashmere (where I am restoring a 1920s farmhouse), Peshastin, Dryden, Merritt, Plain and Fish Lake and the Kahler Glen Golf Course. I also have quite a bit of experience with multi-family units (mostly in East Wenatchee).

My strengths include market knowledge, accurate pricing, creative marketing and negotiating. In 2007, I earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation.  Only a dozen agents in Chelan County hold this coveted certification.

I have been trying to figure out what it means to be a “tech savvy agent” since I started in the real estate business in 2004. I’m always looking for a “better way to build a mousetrap.” I started blogging in 2005, when we hardly knew what that meant, but I saw it as a great opportunity to educated and share my knowledge with real estate consumers. Later came Facebook, Twitter, and the whole idea of social media. In 2007, the Greater Wenatchee Area Technology Alliance (GWATA) nominated me as a finalist for their Tech Savvy Business of the Year.  To me, being tech savvy means finding new ways to help consumers buy and sell homes – faster and easier.

I’m a prolific writer. You may have seen guest posts of mine on the Seattle PI Real Estate Blog, GeekEstate Blog, Future of Real Estate Marketing, and Hyperlocal Blogger.
