Utilizing your social networking profiles (and pages) to benefit your real estate business and generate revenue is a staple requirement in today’s world.   Simply creating a real estate Facebook Fan Page, LinkedIN profile or ActiveRain account will bring you little return to your invested time.  However, there are some amazing tools that can be utilized to make your social networking sites work wonders for generating new business, one of which is the Facebook application called Static FBML.

Static FBML and Contact Forms

One way to gain new leads is by having opportunities to allow visitors to reach out to you via Contact Forms.  A FREE way to add a completely customizable and professional looking contact form on to your real estate Facebook fan page can be done by an online form creator at JotForm.

Here’s two bonus features that you should include when creating your contact form:

1.   Customize where they will land once they submit the form.

You can customize where your new lead is taken to depending upon what they answered within your form.  For example, if your form is offering weekly market reports for foreclosures, short sales, and bank owned properties, depending on which option they chose in the form will determine which website they will be sent to after pressing the submit button.

This states that it is a “Thank you” page, but you can actually send the lead to any website page you want:

2.  Notification Emails for Teams / Brokers

If you work in a team environment or your real estate fan page is run by a Broker, you can have email notification emails sent to particular team members/realtors based upon the information provided within the contact form.

For example, if you have an agent that solely works with foreclosures, you can set up a notification to only be sent to that agent with the completed contact forms information:
