Listing Presentation Ideas From Your Peers

Chris’s presentation was built on SlideRocket and that’s why all the animations are still intact unlike some of the other presentations that you will see below.  Also, make sure you check out his website as I think he has one killer homepage with all of the most relevant information for the consumer front and center.

Mary Beth Harrison has a good looking presentation here that plays much smoother in Keynote because she used some advanced editing techniques.  The animations add a polish that you will not see on the web version because they were removed when converted.  Her branding, as well as her look and feel is consistent from her website to her listing presentation.

Todd converted his listing presentation into a video for us to show on Tech Savvy.  No, I don’t think he plays that music during his meetings LOL.  Great content here and Todd does a nice job of identifying problems and showing his solution for his clients.

Here is the first Prezi in this series of listing presentations.  I talked to Matt over the phone about some ideas for his next Prezi he is putting together.  Prezi has the unique ability to tell a story through motion rather than static slides.  You can group ideas and concepts together in more of a visual format than the other platforms.   Matt does a great job here differentiating himself with all the strategies he will implement for his clients; now he just needs to group them for more impact.

Melissa tells her story on Prezi through her business card which I though was a good idea!  Prezi has a really nice iPad app that she can bring to her listing presentations to present with.

Dave gets right into his “marketing advantage” that he possess over the competition.  He provides numerous compelling reasons to choose him based on his expertise.  Here is the email Dave wrote me about his presentation.

Here is a listing presentation I made the night before going on a listing appointment for a 2 million dollar house.  Presented it on my newly purchased iPad, and the both the client and my broker (also my father, no pressure haha) were very impressed with how “technologically advanced” it seemed (although it didnt seem so to me, and had just thrown it together the night before).

Might be hard to completely follow as I spent a lot of time talking at each slide about things like on the Zillow slide, talking about being a premier agent, the only one in the area, and how that would put their home at the top of the featured listings, or explaining my craigslist system, or what QR codes were etc.

Planning on making a Prezi by the end of the month, and will have a video of the prezi embedded on my website.  At least that’s the plan, if Im not too busy showing properties 🙂

Any feed back (or exposure) is definitely appreciated!

PS…to give credit where credit is due, this presentation was modeled somewhat off of what Ben Kinney had showed as part of the IMSD program.

Kristin is the marketing manager for Avery Hess and she supplies this template to her agents!  Her file was sent as a PDF so I converted it to flash (sorry iOS).  Here is her message that she sent me.

Hello Steve:

I’m the Marketing Manager of Avery-Hess, Realtors in Metro DC and I just saw your facebook request to get your hands on some digital listing presentations.  I’ve attached a PDF copy/version of the Keynote Listing Presentation that we created for our agents to use on their iPads.  You’ll notice that some slides are either blank or just titles — this is intentional as I teach classes at our company on how to customize and personalize this presentation for each agent!

We’re currently putting the final touches on the version to work on tablets — we’ve run into more issues with text clarity on tablets than we had on the iPad and want to make sure it looks great before putting it out.

 How this all came about….

This past fall at our tradeshows, I created a Top 5 Apps for your Business and Top 5 Apps for you Clients and one of the apps we recommend was Keynote, to go hand in hand with this we created a downloadable version of our custom listing presentation. We offer this presentation FREE to ANY agent that wanted to use it.  You can download the Keynote version of the customizable listing presentation at, just be sure to be on your iPad when you download it, since it is a keynote file!

Would love to chat with you if you have any questions or would like to showcase our product — we’ve had a lot of awesome feedback from our agents that are out there using our iPad presentation at listings, really gives them a head up on the competition looking so tech savvy 🙂

James edited the Listing Presentation and made it his own by adding custom content.  You can download the original presentation for free.  I think James did a nice job customizing the content to create a compelling story.

  4. Kristina says:

And yes, if you can do a presentation pointing out the differences among the various platforms – that would be amazing!
    Thanks again!

  5. Tyler Wood says:

Awesome insight, thanks for sharing this. I’ve had a similar listing pres packet for that past few years now. Need to upgrade it a bit and get it more digital (slide rocket, etc) but good to know I am on the same page as a lot of these people.

I will start gathering notes on the various platforms! Thanks for checking out the article 🙂

  7. Thanks for featuring us in the post! We’re happy to share the product that we created for Agents to use and hope it’s of some help for some of your readers!

@Mike to answer your keynote question, we ran into the SAME problem when creating our keynote presentation so we actually created the whole thing on the ipad…LOTS of tapping and swiping to create it but you’re welcome to use our’s as a template if it helps!

    best – Kristin

  9. guy says:

Yes, would love to her you take on the various presentation systems

  10. James says:

The listing presentation is FREE and it has animations that you cannot see in the slides above. It is customizable but I upped my game a bit by adding/removing slides, took screen shots of our own website, facebook page, listed properties and put them over the stock images and it really offers the “WOW FACTOR” the very first time I used this on a listing presentation I got the listing! I paste in CMA info, and remove a few of the slides that are repetitive and once you have one saved all you do is add the subject property specific info onto just a few slides! You can email it afterwards too! Another good idea might be to send a shorter version about yourself & services as a “pre listing presentation” so they are already warmed up to you when you arrive.

  11. Thanks for including our presentation! Would mind fixing the link to our website? I think the HTML is throwing an error. Thanks!

  12. Steve Pacinelli says:

Fixed! Thanks for the heads up.

  13. Steve this is very interesting to see how my peers put their listing presentations together. It should give other agents some ideas:-)

  14. Steve (aka TSA) – Great comilation of some very good presentations. We have been teaching an Electronic Marketing Presentation for the last three years and the agents who are starting to use it are really seeing some “a ha’s” from their clients. In today’s tech-savvy world, everyone likes to know their agent can bring the tech knowledge as well as the local sales skills.

    Keep up the great work.

  15. Steve Pacinelli says:

Thanks Sean! What platform do you use?

  16. Thanks for including my Prezi I do you the iPad app and that makes life easy when using them!
The link to my site is actually my blog if you just take “blog” out of the link it will be my site. Thanks!!

  17. Todd Schroth says:

Joyce, That platform I am using is from we took the slide show and put it into a you tube video..

  18. Steve Pacinelli says:

That looks pretty good Stephanie! Are you going to add the presentation to your website as well or is it just for in-person presentations?

  19. Mykel Martin says:

Thanks for sharing this Steve. Yes, I would love to know the pros, cons and differences of each of the presentations you mentioned.

  20. I would love to know if the agents making these presentations designed their own graphics or if they found them on the web? Or does their company provide them?

  21. Thanks for the great ideas! Always!! I’ve been meaning to make a visual presentation for a while but it always sits on the back-burner. After watching all of your outstanding presentations, I decided to try out Prezi and Screencast-o-matic to make this:

It’s still a work in progress, but how fun!!

    Thanks again,

  22. I have a few listing presentations I’ve been working with lately. One of them is very similar to what James did. I modified the presentation. Its a good start. I love the design aspects of Kristin’s. Useful and pleasant graphical elements make a difference in interaction and perceived professionalism.

  23. Pam Mathison says:

Great presentations! Wish I knew “how to”. Guess ni need a personal tutor

  24. Excellent work! Slide Rocket is an excellent tool

  25. Chuck says:

  26. Will Rahill says:

Thanks for the thought provoking post, it really gets my creative juices flowing. Ryan Vandaele in particular is “Outstanding in his Field.” Love it.

  27. William K says:

This blog/article was truly amazing. Thank you to all of the agents that kindly submitted their listing presentations for our review and a spcial thank you to the author of this article!!!

  28. Pam says:

I LOVE Prezi….but they don’t support Android. Is there anything similar in the Android market that people have found? I may end up doing the ‘ol Powerpoint to use on my droid.
