The Queue | Facebook MLS Search | Google Street View | Which Test Won | Klout

This week’s episode number 3 of the Queue is action packed! The Queue Tech Savvy Agent I covered an innovative new Facebook App that brings the full MLS Search to your Business Page. I did a how to video on adding Google Street Views to your website or blog which is sure to impress both buyers and listing prospects. I highlighted an amazing site called Which Test Won which will help increase your conversions online and get the phone ringing more. Lastly I discussed Klout which is a measure of your social influence that is really taking off and can quantify the ROI of your social media efforts.

As always if you have any questions or feedback please leave them in the comments below and please help share this information on Facebook, Twitter and by emailing the link to the other agents in your office.

  1. LOVE IT. Especially the MLS app. I am soooooooo jealous that NOTHING like that is allowed here. I shared on my page, so all of my New Hampshire REALTOR friends would know about it. Thanks Chris.

  9. Awesome job Chris! I am a new fan… :)

Hey, what are your thoughts on whether an agent would want a user to stay on FB to do this rather than send them to the agent website?

I realize that FB is slowly taking over the world, but just want to talk this through… :)

On the one hand I think it is valuable to ultimately direct them to the agent website, but it looks like this FB integration means that it will be that much easier for the user which is always a good thing.

So once the user asks to be sent updates on their search, does the agent actually get their info as a “lead” they can contact directly?

Also, what about Roost.com … looks like it offers about the same integration with Facebook… but not sure about feature by feature comparison… :)

Good work on the video, valuable info!

  10. Chris says:

Great questions Patrick. My advice is you need both! Roost is great but The MLS App is the ONLY MLS search tool for Facebook. They are still a “lead” getting emails like Jimmy showed in the video!

  11. StaciaLoo says:

  25. Keep bringin’ it Chris! Great hair today as well.

  26. Quick Klout question… If I admin multiple pages on Facebook will their content be counted towards my score?

Oh, and great show… as usual!

  27. Joe Peffer says:

    Chris,
What do you use to “film” the Queue each week? I like the way you zoom in and out of apps, picutres and the idea of the talking head and pictorial display on the side simultaneously.
    Kind of Walter Cronkite-y.

  28. Chris says:

    I use Camtasia and Keynote.

  29. Chris Bohn says:

    Great Info!! Thanks Chris

  30. [...] just watched Chris Smith’s Tech Savvy broadcast – The Queue,  and learned how to embed the code for Google Maps Street View into a blog [...]

  31. Chris, I follow many blogs and get emails on weekly wraps ups etc to try and get good ideas for our company. Sometimes it is all too much. The Queue is my new favorite! I love how you present a few bright points out and not overwhelm us with info. I really look forward to it and have gotten great info out of each of the 3 issues. THANKS, very exciting stuff!

  32. Betsy says:

Ok, So I created a facebook page so that I would be able to install the MLS app. Great. One problem. Where it is supposed to drop down to allow someone to choose a city, there are no choices. Therefore I get MA, CT, VT, and NH. What do I do to change this?

  33. Jim Mackin says:

Thanks Chris! Betsy, you connect with me at facebook.com/jimmy.mackin on twitter @themlsapp or email me at Jimmy@themlsapp.com – I will get you squared away.

    Thanks!
