I have to say that the Keller Williams Family Reunion conference was a blast. In this week’s episode of The Queue I was able to interview several industry thought leaders and get the inside scoop on some innovative new technology solutions. First up I spent some time with Stefan Swanepoel who was the keynote speaker at the event and has an amazing new book out entitled Surviving Your Serengeti. It is a story of self discovery and is getting massive buzz on the web as well as with the 9,000 plus agents he spoke in front of live. Next I interviewed the one and only Ben Kinney who is a listing machine and who had several of his sessions closed down by the fire marshall due to over crowding. The reason Ben is so popular is simple. He is using technology at a high level not to get on stage at social media events, but to list and sell a high volume of properties. One of the more buzz worthy topics at the event this year was the roll out of eEdge which is now part of the Keller Williams agent arsenal. While the system is still brand new and I have not had enough time to give a full review, I was able to catch up with Joelle Senter who was instrumental in piecing together what KW hopes to be a universal solution for taking leads from click to close and beyond.
Howard Tager is the CEO of Tiger Leads which is a high end IDX and lead generation system. He discussed with me the difference in the way that a lead who comes through search vs a lead that comes through social should be approached. How many homes should you let them look at before asking them to register? Howard is a super sharp guy and had some really compelling data and insight on the topic.
Finally I asked Darin Franzen to interview Scott Taylor who is a KW agent and big fan of Tech Savvy Agent. We wanted to know of all the ideas we have shared which one is helping him actually generate the most business. No surprise to me is that his answer was video!
