Toor.me Exclusive Offer

I was recently introduced to a service called Toor.me that I thought I’d share.Toor.me Toor.me provides very slick, very beautiful mobile virtual tours for your listings.  It automatically generates QR Codes for each “Toor” you create, and presents the information in a visually pleasing format that runs great on mobile.  And here’s the exciting news:  Toor.me has an exclusive limited time offer for fans of Tech Savvy Agent! See below for this fantastic Tech Savvy Agent specific offer.

Perhaps my favorite part about Toor.me? It’s simple!  Creating a Toor for your listings couldn’t be easier.  Upload your photos, input your MLS data into a simple form, and you’re good to go.  Download the QR codes in a number of different sizes and configurations and put them wherever you want them.Mobile Listings Page Info sheets, rider signs, or even signage in the window of your listing.  Anywhere you print, you can add a QR Code and know that your prospects will have a great user experience when they scan the code.

I’ve yet to see a simpler, quicker way to implement QR Codes into your listing without losing something in the user experience.  When prospective buyers scan the code, it loads a Toor.me mobile website that is designed from the ground up to display on their device.  Go ahead and scan the QR Code in this post for an example.

As you can see, the user interface is clean and smooth, and everything you want to know is right in front of you. Property info, Contact Info, and even the ability to share by email or on popular social networks is just a tap away. Another nice feature is the ability to finger-swipe to move from photo to photo – an action already familiar to many mobile users.

This service is still quite new and, as such, there’s going to be a lot of opportunity for the folks at Toor.me to add additional functionality.  I was troubled at first by the lack of video support, but was informed recently of a workaround.QR Codes for listings One of the fields you have when creating the Toor is a “Link” field and there’s no reason you can’t put a link to a YouTube video if you want.  I’m told by Nick at Toor.me that they have it on their radar to add additional options for linking videos in the future. Another small point: If you’re on a slow network, the Toor can be a little sluggish when it first loads.  However, this is pretty much always the case with rich media on mobile and Toor.me does a better job with this than other products I’ve used. Vyoo.it for example is a free service so why not use them?  First of all the Toor.me pages are for lack of a better term sexier.  Secondly when you are using something that is free you get what you pay for on the customer service side.  Lastly the user interface and user experience on Toor.me is superior to Vyoo.it in the testing that I have done.

If you’ve been thinking of adding QR Codes to your bag of tricks, but haven’t found a simple and effective way to do it, this is it.

And now, for the exciting Tech Savvy Agent exclusive offer:  Starting right now, if you sign up for Toor.me at the link below you can get this service for $9.95/month for unlimited Toors for as long as you remain a client!  The service is normally $21.95/month, so this is a really great offer at over 50% off.  This offer is only available until Christmas Day so act now.

Take advantage of this offer to Tech Savvy Agent fans here.

I still think Vyoo.it is a better alternative, at least for the moment. On the sample Toor, all the pics showed up in squishyvision (stretched) on my BB Bold, and I like the auto functionality wherein Vyoo pulls all the data from Postlets which I use for Craigslist anyway.

The pages look better on Toor, but stretching pictures and the lack of house data on the home page, combined with cost and having to manually upload data rules it out for now.

    Thanks for the post!

  2. I’m going to try this out and give it a shot. The demo looks fantastic and that price is hard to beat. Thanks for bringing this to TSA!

    Hi Dab,

I was looking at this article that they posted and saw your comment.

On the Bold, did you view it landscape or portrait? We locked it down to smaller photos in landscape so the buttons still show for functionality. In our next update we are shifting the button location in landscape so the photos can be full and not “squishyvision”.

The lack of house data as well as the manual upload were and still are an intentional move.

Currently we don’t pull the data from other sources because they have restrictions that we don’t want on our customers. (MLS photo regulations = poor photos on our desktop version)

The lack of data is so it is more of a tickler to drive interaction with you as the realtor. Hope that makes sense. It is our attempt at implementing consumer psychology.

    Cheers,

    Nick Smoot

  4. Excellent! I was out of town over Christmas and missed the discount! Thanks for extending. Can’t wait to get started on this. One thing to check off the 2011 goal list already!

  5. Cool! I will check this out, seems like it could come in very handy. Anyone know if there are other products like this out there, or is this the only one.

What do you think?
