Suzanne…just curious as to why you didn’t mention ActiveRain in this article. Is it because it’s used mostly between agents?

Hi Chris,
I have been following you for a few months now and have learned a lot. I am finally to the point of implementing everything I have absorbed. I am building a WP blog and am trying to decide what will be best for a CMS? Do I go with a canned solution like Market Leader or Top Producer (which gives me a website as well) or is there a solution I can incorporate into the blog platform? I would prefer to have everything go through the blog, but a system like Market Leader has a really powerful backend system. I am going to have IDX on the blog so my goal is to have visitors stay there. Any help would be appreciated.
I am currently looking at Aweber for email.
Thanks.
Hi Suzanne, this is a great resource! How do I get Obeo added to your Listing Syndication list? We have a phenomenal self service package I’d love to tell you about!
Great list of resources. Thanks for including BiggerPockets!
What is the best way for an agent who works in a large office to use google places. Can every agent in the office use it?
Awesome list, thanks for putting this together. If I could make a suggestion though, you’re missing wordpress.org!
Great list guys. Wish I saw this sooner. Its nice that you are giving us all this great info. You could charge for it!
These are some really great websites to add to my online marketing. Thanks for putting a list together.
You could charge quite a bit of money for this info. Thanks so much for sharing it.
I really enjoyed reading your blog post. It always amazes me how most people miss the simple concepts you described. I was talking to one of the webmasters at http://www.losangeleswebstudio.com and they told me that for small businesses starting on the Web, Internet Marketing is a must for raising customer awareness and ultimately driving sales, and a balanced approach to Internet marketing which is comprised of two concepts; a Long Term Strategy (SEO) and a Short Term Strategy (SEM) is required for a business to succeed. Anyways, I look forward to your other blog posts.
@Hal -
Definitely go with the WP CMS, by far the easiest to learn and most flexible. It will also be something that you build into an asset (something you can sell down the road), which MarketLeader and TopProducer cannot provide. If anything, those would be 2 solutions to look into down the road once your main site is setup and established. Having an IDX is key, the only real thing consumers are looking for from agents are HOMES – anything else provided is just icing on the cake.
Good idea on Aweber, I use them myself.
@Marci James – feel free to contact me, I’d be interested in learning more.
@Joshua Dorkin – BiggerPockets is becoming something of a staple in the REALTOR community.
Thank you for this great list. It helped a lot.
Hi , I think here we have missed live support solutions like Live Chat and click to call. I have seen in Indian real estae industry all the topplayersa re using an innovative live calling solution called bounzd.com which helps thier visitors to call sales people’s mobile number for free from website and emails itself.
In an online marketing scenario, you would keep your ads up for a longer time and pay much less. O Cost per incremental customer – This cost is very low for web marketing based…
