Weatherproofing Your Social Media Efforts
In an effort to help agents leverage social media I sometimes lose sight of the fact that these platforms are indeed being rented and the landlord can kick us out at any point. Most of us have heard a story or two about someone getting their page or profile shut down for violating the terms of service. Combine that with the constant changes to the layouts and options available as an admin and it gets to be a bit scary to spend so much time, effort and even money on something that could dissipate.
For that reason I am starting a new EMAIL ONLY campaign about none other than email list building and conversion of the list into real life appointments.
I will only be emailing these tips to the people who fill out the form below.

I really love it when I see you step back and evaluate your own approach. This is what you worth reading.
*makes* you worth reading!
Thanks Gwen!
Google docs for question forms- nice. I didn’t know that was even available. I learn something every time I read a post from you!
‘get while the ‘gettin’s good’… & ‘make hay while the sun shines’… BUT ‘don’t put all your eggs in the same basket’… PLAN B is even more important than PLAN A if you’re looking at the big picture… I like it, Chris!

I love that getting our email was step one in the lesson plan. :}
Sue step one was actually providing lots of value before asking!
But yes to build an email list you must ask for the email. What I will be covering is the when and how’s which can be a challenge.
I so appreciate all the tips and tricks you share with us and looking forward to checking for more in my email. Merry Christmas!!!
Deb Orth
Thank you Chris for all the hard work you are putting into this. It is much appreciated. Keep up the good work. I love it!!
Yet again you remind us Not to put all our eggs in one basket. Tkx
I signed up for your ‘email campaign’on another post… is this the same list? Or something new/else?
Separate list just for this purpose!
Thanks for all your information!
Chris,
As I look back over the two years of avidly following you, and how much I have learned not just from you, but from the peeps you have introduced me to(thanks VA and Steve!) I have to take a step back and wish you and all of TSA’s Associates, a very Happy New Year, and continued growth, success, and respect from the industry.
THANK YOU.
Garth
Garth that means a lot. My Florida time was where the foundation was laid for all of this!!
Great take away selling a la Dan Kennedy. Make us scared we are going to miss something and capture a name – and all done in a paragraph and a half. Ready for you to work on my drip campaign!
Sounds exciting, is also easier to retrieve, rather than scan through all those fb messages!
Great wake-up call to agents who great content for “RENTED” sites only. “Landlord” can evict at anytime…(cuz)there’s no rental agreement.
Good luck,
Mike
Great timing as I am half way into creating an email campaign for a FTHB list I am going to build.
Thanks for the continued great info!
Chris, this is just what I needed – I know not everyone is on FB, Twitter, etc and we can’t overlook them…
It is good to always remember the basics and to keep your marketing efforts diversified. Thanks for the reminder.
Yet again, you teach and I learn! Thank you
eMail Marketing, Listing Building, Conversion Tactics are all must-have strategies, it will be interesting and useful to see how you address these core issues. After running a “HeatMap” on my blog, Conversion and improving my Bounce Rate is an area needing work, or so says Google Analytics
I can’t wait to see all the new ideas I get from you in 2011. Happy New Year!
You’re the best, Chris, looking out for us this way and also keeping us in the “real world”. I was wondering how long FB could really continue to grow…
Thanks for all your hard work and commitment to us!
Thank you Chris, Great idea. Always being one step ahead of the game is what I like about you.
Thanks again for all the great work you are doing!
I love the use of google docs to create forms. Its real good on this page too! I am excited to learn more about email campaigns as that is a real weak spot for my business.
Thanks for your hard work!
Thanks Chris I agree with all the positive comments. I have only just started using facebook and twitter and you held the first free webinar the Jill Ritchie Team took advantage of. We appreciate your ideas and expertise

If I could have only one source of information for my real estate business it would be Tech Savvy Agent and this post is yet another of many great reasons why.
