“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” – Seneca
This is the most important week of 2011
Some things to go over to make sure you really are ready for 2011:
Do you have a business plan?
I’m constantly shocked and amazed at how many real estate agents don’t have a business plan. At least a good business plan, that is effective and helps you realize what your daily activities need to be.
If you don’t know what your daily activities should be or how many appointments you should have a week, make sure you spend some time this week working on your Simple One Page Business Plan.
Have you practiced your day?
It’s nice to have a plan, but no plan survives its collision with reality. Just because you have some numbers on a paper, doesn’t make your business plan invincible. You still need to implement.
Practicing your day can help you make sure you have worked out all the bugs and you can actually do, what you need to do. Think of it as a dress rehearsal or a sound check. Watch a video about practicing your day by clicking here.
If you haven’t practiced your day yet, you should spend sometime this week doing that. Don’t wait until January 2nd to realize you have scheduled to much into your day. You need to figure this out now, so you can hit the ground running in 2011.
Do you know what you want your first 30 days to look like?
“The beginning is the most important part of the work.” – Plato
The entire 4th quarter, I’ve been telling my coaching clients, “The way you take off is the way you land.” This comes from my wakeboarding days.
If you start the year off balance, in the wrong position, with the wrong strategy, the wrong tactics, utilizing the wrong tools, not doing the right consistent daily activities, how do you think you will finish the year?
One of my coaching clients Christina Ethridge, who sells real estate in North Idaho, is so committed to taking off the right way in 2011, that she is going on a content cleanse. She is not going to consume content from books, blogs, webinars, etc., in January. She is going to focus completely on implementing on what she already knows.
If you don’t know what your first 30 days of 2011 are going to look like, make sure you spend some time this week working figuring it out.
2011 starts now
Make sure you have a solid business plan, know that your ideal, productive day is doable and know exactly what you want your first 30 days to look like. Don’t wait to get started.
If you wait, it will be too late.

What Others Say:
“The principles and the ”hands on” being taught by Darin have kept me in the game. Most importantly, I learned that when I take the necessary actions being taught to “survive” this shift, I will then “thrive.” – Cheryl Latimer
“The Solutions Coaching Program that Darin has introduced to our office has invigorated my business. I am creating systems to automate my business, strategies to increase my production and my skill level so that know what to say and when. From implementing all this, in the last month it has led to about $4,000,000 in business, 36 new leads, and more coming. I am addicted to the sense of purpose that Darin’s Solutions Coaching Program gives you.” -Levi Stearns
“Darin’s goal setting workshop was one of the most powerful classes I have ever attended! Ironically, this class doesn’t discuss or cover real estate business fundamentals of any kind, however it will be the class that ultimately saved my business! Darin not only helped me self discover what my business goals are, but also what my goals in my life are. I now wake up in the morning with clarity and focus on what is important!!!” -Gilbert Peralta
