4 Emerging Trends on the Web
I am going to try to do a post like this about once a week where I just cover new technologies that are, interesting and relevant to a Realtor. This week I am focusing on the following:
1. The New Twitter – All new design and analytics coming soon. Why it maters to you and how to leverage location for business.
2. Facebook Ads – Facebok has increased the number of Ads that are visible from 3 to 4 showing that the demand for PPC in Facebook is real.
3. Target.com – Watch what they are doing with “The percentage of people that viewed this bought this”. Could be a game changer in the future.
4. iPad Apps – There are some new iPad apps specific to Realtors and I review one called Open Home Pro that is free and has tremendous potential. Any agent with an iPad should download it now.
That’s it. The good stuff is in the above video and I hope you guys enjoyed these quick tips! Any feedback or thoughts on these emerging trends?

Good stuff! Thanks Chris! Lots to think about for the weekend
Where do you find the time to do all of this stuff? You are amazing with all this new technology.
I love the Open Home Pro !!! Just waiting for the authorization code. A great way to capture leads while starting conversations about the iPad

Thank you Chris! The Open Home Pro seems like a great app. I’ve been waiting for an hour for the authorization code, they must be swamped. Hope it comes through.
You ROCK! Thank you for all you do.

Hey Jean,
Let me know if you never receive the auth email it should come instantly. Email me amachado@gmail.com.
Chris thanks again for the coverage. You are ace. The video is highly entertaining.
OMG I love it. Maybe now I can get rid of the open house paper register. Open House Pro would definitely help me to follow up. So many times I can’t read the client’s hand writing or even my own is my haste to build rapport. I’m downloading it!
Open Home Pro seems like a great tool. Isn’t anyone worried, though about passing around such an expensive device or even having that many germy hands all over your device???
My auto code was caught by my spam filter, but it was there. I don’t think I would actually give the iPad to someone to fill out the information. Too easy to get distracted and have someone walk away with it. But SO easy to talk to the person and fill in the info for them. I am looking forward to using it.
I suggested a note on the app saying that the personal info will not be sold or shared with third parties.
Great app.

Good to see you back in front of the camera Chris. Nice update.
I’ve seen the “Buying Statistics” for years on Amazon, and they definitely have influenced my decisions on what to buy.
Off to check out the new Twitter.

In the fine print of Open Home Pro it says they reserve the right to use, sell, and distribute any content that we put in there. One of the reviews said the same thing.
Hey Steve,
Feel free to email me and we can talka bout the privacy policy. I’ll detail out some stuff below that hopefully explains things.
the language from Open Home Pro’s Terms of Service were taken completely out of context, and were presented in a very misleading manner. It is not a disclaimer that data can be shared with third parties. On the contrary, use/sharing of the information mentioned in that paragraph is ultimately subject to and restricted by Open Home Pro’s privacy policy (see the end of the quote: “…subject to Open Home Pro’s Privacy Policy.”) Also, at the end of the relevant section (not quoted in the comment), the Terms of Service state again, “Nothing contained herein shall be construed as limiting or reducing Open Home Pro’s responsibilities and obligations to Users in accordance with the Open Home Pro Privacy Policy.”
The relevant section of Open Home Pro’s Privacy Policy states, “Open Home Pro will not steal, market, sell, or share with any other party your Customer Data, unless required to by law or regulation. Your Customer Data is kept confidential. Only authorized Open Home Pro personnel have access to view Customer Data for customer service and abuse-monitoring purposes.” Clearly, Open Home Pro does not intend to freely sell or share an agent’s customer’s information.
