A Great Real Estate Closing Gift – Tech Savvy Style!

I have one of the most strategic closing gifts sitting in front of me on my table right now. It will be with your client every day. It has your branding on it (free if you purchase 20 or more). It’s economical. It’s unique and most importantly is useful.

It’s called a Keyport.  Watch the video if you want to know why I think this is such a powerful marketing tool and it’s only 3 minutes, a record for me!  Sorry for the terrible lighting but the babies were asleep upstairs, so this is a basement video.

Disclaimer – Sometimes my passion for cool tech things gets confused with “a sales pitch”.  If you buy 1 million of these things, I get absolutely nothing in return…maybe a thank you from Keyport.  I have no motivation to sell this product other than the fact that I own one and love it.  That’s all.

Check out my shirt in the video, it rocks! A special thanks goes out to The Geeky Girls!

  1. Not too long ago, we published an article on the best closing gifts we’ve heard from realtors. Here is the link if anyone is interested:

And Keyport is a very cool closing gift Steve! I want one 🙂

  2. Steve Pacinelli says:

It’s pretty cool Matthew. I couldn’t go back to regular keys. Thanks for contributing!

  3. Steve, thanks for sharing – that IS the coolest techie gift!

  4. Alex Aguilar says:

This is a very clever idea… I’m surprised I haven’t heard of this before. Practical, useful and cheaper than an iPad!

  5. This is a really innovative product! The only downside I see is that it requires some effort on the part of the client to get it up and running. Its not something that they can use right out of the box. Their FAQ does say that most locksmiths can handle creating the keys, but I wonder how many will just end up sitting at the bottom of the junk drawer? Thanks for sharing!

  6. Chris says:

Awesome closing gift! I don’t like carrying my keys in my pocket because they always poke my leg and this little gem will definitely help with that.

  7. Great idea.. Thanks for sharing

  8. just tried the discount code and it said not valid. The code I tried was
TECHSAVVY10A & tried it to purchase one & then tried it to purchase 10 neither work .

  9. Don Gebhard says:

@Erik…Take it to a locksmith and have the house key cut for them…. That will ensure they use it… 😉

  10. Jean Richer says:

Great post Steve and good idea. How did you manage to get the Geeky Girls t-shirt? Love it!

  11. Steve Pacinelli says:

I have connections! 😉 Thanks Jean!

  12. Jacqulyn says:

That is a great closing gift. I like the fact that I would also be supporting a local Las Vegas company.

  13. dave says:

Bulk pricing and gift options available

  14. Jessica says:

Neat! The discount code doesn’t work though. Bummer 🙁
